Ayurvedic Consultation, Assessment and Treatment

What is Ayurveda? From the Sanskrit ayus, “long life,” and Veda, “true or sacred knowledge,” Ayurveda is an ancient holistic system of medicine practiced for over 5,000 years in India.

Ayurveda defines disease as the natural end result of living out of harmony with our constitution. Because each person has a different balance of energy, Ayurveda shows that the path to optimal health is different for each person, and that we may bring our being into balance—mind, body, spirit, emotion and senses—by balancing our doshas, the three dynamic forces which act as the governing principles of life within each of us. When these three forces are brought into balance, the body can begin to operate as nature intended—as a self-healing, self-regulating expression of a perfect universe.

Q & A with Thom Knoles

Oneness

Question:
How can I believe in evolution if I have always been here and always will be here? Deep down a voice whispers 'What's the point?', which I don't want to hear. Evolution and Infinity seem to cancel each other out.

If everything exists all the time how can evolution move 'forward'?

How Can Meditation Help World Problems?

Question:
Thom, I am enjoying this meditation very much. But it does seem doubtful that meditation can do anything to help save children [in war zones, starving]. Sitting around with our eyes closed repeating a mantra? Can it?

Terrorism

Question:
Thom, how do I make sense of terrorism? You say life is bliss but I don’t see it in the world. Please, can I have your thoughts?
